The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), in cooperation with the Office of U.S. Representative Zoe Lofgren (D – Calif.), are hosting a Livestream recruitment event to share our excitement about the agency joining the Silicon Valley region, as well as our search for top engineering talent there. The event will feature a moderated panel of USPTO patent examiners and supervisory patent examiners who will talk about their meaningful work and how that work makes a global impact. Panelists will also provide their personal experiences about life at the USPTO and answer live questions. The event will also include taped remarks from Congresswoman Lofgren, Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Director of the USPTO Michelle Lee and USPTO’s Silicon Valley Regional Director, John Cabeca.
The USPTO Silicon Valley Satellite Office is scheduled to open in 2015 and will be actively recruiting for up to 100 patent examiners over the next year. Beginning in May 2015, vacancies will be listed on USA JOBS seeking those who have studied or practiced in various disciplines such as Electrical, Computer and Mechanical engineering. If you have studied or practiced in any of these engineering disciplines, you could be the top talent we are seeking.
So join us on Livestream on March 31st and learn first-hand from our examiners why the United States Patent and Trademark Office is consistently ranked as one of the Best Places to Work in the Federal Government®!
