Dear Ms. Ferguson:
We are in receipt of the complaint filed by the above referenced consumer and are pleased that we were eventually able to speak with Mr. Carree.
Nevertheless, over 3 years ago, .Mr. Carree contracted with lnventHelp® for the first stage of our services, the preparation of a Basic Information Package (BIP) report on his invention. The complainant's services were performed in their entirety and in a timely manner.
Mr. Carree's claim that we have " ... stolen My Drawings of My invention, And has tried to file for a patent. .. " is not based in fact. We both signed our Statement of Confidentiality and Non-Use on November 11, 2015. This Statement of Confidentiality clearly states:
"lnventhelp® hereby agrees that the idea, invention, or product you are disclosing and which you believe to be your own original creation shall not be used, sold, assigned or disclosed to any other person, organization, or corporation without your permission, and further, that none of the employees, agents, officers, or directors of lnventHelp® shall utilize the same in any manner unless specifically agreed to by both parties in a Submission Agreement, which may be entered into at a later date."
This Statement of Confidentiality is still in effect.
As acknowledged in his complaint, the Carree went to the local lnventHelp sales office in 2016 threatening our female sales representative to the point that the authorities were called by the office buildings' security team, to diffuse the situation.
On January 2, 2019, we spoke at length with Mr. Carree and believed we had resolved his concerns and agreed to provide him with a refund. We sent an agreement outlining the terms of settlement. Unfortunately, we spoke again with Mr. Carree, who stated that he would not sign the agreement. There is nothing further we can do.
Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.
