Judge Jay Moore received a J.D. degree from the College of William and Mary and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Natural Sciences from The Johns Hopkins University. Judge Moore served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable James R. Cavanaugh of the Superior Court of Pennsylvania; as an Associate at Connolly, Bove, Lodge & Hutz in Wilmington, Delaware; and as Corporate Patent Counsel. In private practice and as in-house counsel, he worked extensively in patent prosecution and intellectual property litigation, served as counsel to research and development organizations, and performed strategic intellectual property portfolio management. He has served as Lead Judge of the Trial Division, Vice Chief Judge, Deputy Chief Judge, and Acting Chief Judge.
