The Deputy Commissioner for Patent Quality is pleased to announce the third Patent Quality Chat in the 2016 webinar series on Tuesday, March 8 from noon to 1 pm ET. Derris Banks, Director of Technology Center 2600 and Emily Le, Supervisory Patent Examiner, Technology Center 1700, will be sharing information and collecting feedback on the Cooperative Patent Classification (CPC) System. Also on the agenda, Seema Rao, Director of Technology Center 2100, and Paul Rodriguez, Supervisor, Office of Patent Quality Assurance, will report out on the USPTO's findings from the Glossary Pilot as well as collect your feedback.

Patent Quality Chat is a monthly, lunchtime webinar series designed to provide information on patent quality topics and gather your input. Webinar participants are encouraged to join the discussion during the event by emailing PatentQualityEventParticipationBox@uspto.gov. Always on the second Tuesday of each month, set a recurring meeting on your calendar to join us!

Each Patent Quality Chat webinar includes a speaker(s) presentation (approximately 20-30 minutes) and time for questions and comments from the virtual audience. All Patent Quality Chats are free and open to all; no registration is required, No CLE credit will be available through the USPTO. Video recordings and any presentation materials from the Patent Quality Chats are posted on our Patent Quality Chat website after an event has concluded.
