ALA’s 2015 Intellectual Property Conference for Legal Professionals

The ALA’s 2015 Intellectual Property Conference for Legal Professionals is a forum to address changes and solutions to the shifting IP landscape. Educational sessions will be led by seasoned experts. Attendees will engage with industry leaders who are at the forefront of IP law, share ideas and explore trends.

The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has several new strategy initiatives that are in various stages of completion. During this session, we will hone in on eMod, the eCommerce Modernization project, the use of Post Grant Reviews and Inter Partes Reviews since the AIA went into effect and the USPTO opened satellite offices around the country. We will discuss the current patent application filing and viewing tools, how eMod will change them, the effects on users, and provide a project status. We will also recap how the trials process has progressed since AIA.
