The Hague Agreement provides that an applicant is entitled to apply for design protection in Hague Agreement member countries and with intergovernmental organizations by filing a single, standardized international design application in a single language. On April 2, 2015, the Hague Agreement Final Rules Package was published in the Federal Register (80 F.R. 63, pp. 17918-17971). The Hague Agreement related Final Rules will also take effect on May 13, 2015.
On April 29, 2015, beginning at 9:00AM, the USPTO will host a public forum highlighting the Final Rules. The event will be held at the USPTO in Alexandria, Virginia.
