The National Council for Expanding American Innovation wants to hear from you
On December 23, 2020, the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), in consultation with the National Council for Expanding American Innovation (NCEAI), announced a request for public comments to assist in the development of a national strategy to expand the innovation ecosystem demographically, geographically, and economically. The USPTO is extending the time to submit comments to February 23, 2021. Submit comments through the Federal eRulemaking Portal at www.regulations.gov.
If you have any questions, please contact InnovationComment@uspto.gov.
The NCEAI is helping to develop a comprehensive national strategy to increase equity and fuel the United States’ innovation ecosystem by encouraging, empowering, and supporting all future innovators. The Council envisions their work will build an inclusive innovation economy that reflects the diversity of our nation.
The NCEAI is comprised of representatives from private industry, non-profit organizations, academia, and various federal government agencies. The national strategy will be a long-term comprehensive plan for continuing to build America’s innovation ecosystem in areas that promote and increase the participation of groups that have been traditionally underrepresented as inventors-patentees.
