USPTO Releases New Private PAIR 7.2 Enhancements

With the release of Private PAIR 7.2, the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) continues to improve e-Commerce tools based on feedback from the intellectual property community. Private PAIR 7.2 was released March 22 and includes several user-requested features.

Two of the enhancements include: previous search results saved for customer queries for all Customer Number and Attorney Docket Number Searches; and the addition of an "Unviewed" filter for the Outgoing Correspondence Search.

Commerce Tip: Submissions Confirmed When Viewable in My Workplace

As a registered e-Filer in EFS-Web, you can access My Workplace to confirm that your submitted applications or follow-on papers were successfully received by the USPTO. In My Workplace, under View Last 40 e-Filing Acknowledgement Receipts, you can see the Application Number, Title of Invention, Receipt Date, and other pertinent information about your 40 most recent electronic submissions. The Receipt column will either have a link to view the Acknowledgement Receipt PDF document or display "In Progress" if the Acknowledgement Receipt has not been finalized.

Once your submission is listed in My Workplace - View Last 40 e-Filing Acknowledgement Receipts, it has been safely and successfully transmitted to the USPTO irrespective of whether your Acknowledgement Receipt is available to view or "In Progress".

Please be patient and do not re-file while waiting for the finalized Acknowledgement Receipt to display. Re-filing may result in processing delays, and fees paid on duplicate submissions may not be refundable.

If you have questions regarding your Acknowledgement Receipt, please contact the Patent Electronic Business Center (EBC) at 1-866-217-9197 or send an e-mail to ebc@uspto.gov..
