Maintenance Impacting Patents Online Filing, EFS-Web/EFS-Web Contingency, and Patent Maintenance Fees Storefront

The USPTO will perform systems maintenance beginning at 10 p.m. Saturday, August 19 and ending at 3 a.m. Sunday, August 20 ET.

The maintenance is not expected to cause an outage to Patents Online Filing or to the Patent Maintenance Fees Storefront. The maintenance may, however, cause momentary outages to Patents Online Filing and the Patent Maintenances Fees Storefront during the maintenance period. The Patent Maintenance Fees Storefront may be temporarily unavailable to customers for querying patents, submitting bulk payments, or paying patent maintenance fees during the maintenance period.

During the maintenance period, the following submission types may be unavailable in EFS-Web and EFS-Web Contingency:

1) New 371 National Stage filing
2) Any follow-on submissions to an existing application (e.g., ePetitions, eTerminal Disclaimer, Corrected Web ADS, Web 85b, PG Pub Request)

Alternative filing instructions and payment options are provided below in the event of an unanticipated outage.
