USPTO Systems Status and Availability

Friday Sep 30, 2022

Planned Events

MyUSPTO System Update

As part of the current MyUSPTO deployment to address user experience issues reported by customers, a database schema change is needed.

Given the high volume of users at any point of time in the system, the USPTO will need to take the system down to make the schema change and avoid any potential problems.

Multiple Applications Retirement

After September 30, the following systems will no longer be available:

    •    Patent Full Text on the Web (PATFT)
    •    Application Full Text (APPFT)
    •    Public Examiner's Automated Search Tool (Public EAST)
    •    Public Web-Based Examiner's Search Tool (Public WEST)

Please use Patent Public Search (https://ppubs.uspto.gov/pubwebapp/) to conduct searches of U.S. patents and published applications. Visit the Patent Public Search (https://ppubs.uspto.gov/pubwebapp/static/pages/landing.html) website for additional resources.
