Planned Events

TSDR Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance affecting Trademark Status and Document Retrieval (TSDR) beginning at 12:01 a.m., Friday, April 24 and ending at 3 a.m., Friday, April 24 ET.

TSDR will not be available during the maintenance period.

Links to TSDR will not be available from the following systems:

  • Trademark Electronic Application System (TEAS) 
  • Trademark Electronic Application System International (TEASi) 
  • Trademarks Electronic Official Gazette (TMOG) 
  • Trademark Trial and Appeal Board Viewing on the Web (TTABVUE) 
  • Trademark Electronic Search System (TESS)
  • USPTO TM Status mobile app

TEAS and TEASi System Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance on the Trademark Electronic Application System (TEAS) and Trademark Electronic Application System International (TEASi) beginning at 6 a.m., Saturday, April 25 and ending at 12 p.m., Saturday, April 25 ET.

During the maintenance period, TEAS and TEASi will be unavailable.

OEDCI Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance on the Office of Enrollment and Discipline Patent Practitioner Search, Registered Practitioner Portal, and Exam Applicant Portal (OEDCI) beginning at 7 a.m., Saturday, April 25 and ending at 9 a.m., Saturday, April 25 ET. 

OEDCI will be unavailable during the maintenance period.

Additionally, Adjudicated Case Tracking System (ACTS) and Patent Trial Appeal Board End to End (PTAB E2E) will be unable to access OEDCI during the maintenance period.

OEDCI users should save all work and log off before the maintenance period begins.

TDSCM and TESS Maintenance

The Trademark Design and Search Code Manual (TDSCM) and Trademark Electronic Search System (TESS) will be unavailable on Saturday, April 25, from 12:01 a.m., until 5:30 a.m. ET.

We are performing maintenance to improve system security.

Complete all your work in TDSCM and TESS before 12:01 a.m., on Saturday, April 25 ET.

Systems Maintenance

The USPTO will perform systems maintenance beginning at 11:59 p.m., Saturday, April 25 and ending at 2 a.m., Sunday, April 26 ET.

The following systems will be unavailable during this maintenance period:

  • my.uspto.gov website
  • Certified Copy Center (CCC) 
  • Electronic Filing System (EFS-Web) for Registered eFilers 
  • Private PAIR
  • Patent Practitioner Support Sponsorship Tool
  • Trademark Next Generation ID Manual (TMNG-IDM) 
  • Trademark Next Generation Official Gazette (TMOG) 
  • Trademark Electronic Application System (TEAS)  
  • Trademark Electronic Application System International (TEASi)

The maintenance will cause an outage to Financial Manager, Patent Maintenance Fee Storefront, the USPTO.gov login (authentication) system, and an interruption to payment processing for all USPTO storefronts.

Users of the following systems should not attempt to make a payment during the maintenance period: 

  • Electronic Filing System (EFS-Web) for Unregistered eFilers and EFS-Web Contingency
  • Electronic System for Trademark Trials and Appeals (ESTTA)
  • Electronic Trademark Assignment Search (ETAS)
  • Patent Maintenance Fee Storefront
  • Patent Trial and Appeal Board End to End (PTAB E2E)

For Patent Customers:

During the maintenance period, if you need to file a new patent application, you can use EFS-Web for Unregistered eFilers or EFS-Web Contingency.

If you need to file a follow-on submission or pay fees, use an alternative filing or payment method. If you have questions, please contact the Patent Electronic Business Center (EBC) at 1-866-217-9197, Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. - midnight ET, or email ebc@USPTO.GOV.

For PTAB Customers:

If your deadline is today for the petition filing and/or other associated documents to a pending AIA case and you cannot file electronically via the Patent Trial and Appeal Board End-to-End System (PTAB-E2E), you may use an alternative filing method.

Archived TMEP Maintenance

The Archived Trademark Manual for Examination Procedures (Archived TMEP) will be unavailable on Saturday, April 25, from 12:01 a.m., until 5:30 a.m. ET.

This maintenance will not affect access to the current TMEP and all previous versions available at https://tmep.uspto.gov/.

Complete all your work in Archived TMEP before 12:01 a.m., on Saturday, April 25 ET.

PALM Database Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance affecting multiple systems beginning at 12:01 a.m., Saturday, May 23 and ending at 11:59 p.m., Saturday, May 23 ET.

The systems listed below will be unavailable during the maintenance period:

  • Public Patent Application Information Retrieval (Public PAIR)
  • Private Patent Application Information Retrieval (Private PAIR)
  • Global Dossier (GD)
  • One Portfolio Dossier (OPD)
  • Patent Global Dossier Public Access Dossier (P-GD-PAD)

  • Office of Enrollment and Discipline Information System (OEDIS)

  • Patent Maintenance Fees Storefront

The systems listed below may be unavailable during the maintenance:

  • Electronic Patent Assignment System (ePAS)
  • Financial Manager and Patent Maintenance Fees Storefront

The maintenance will cause an outage to payment processing for USPTO storefronts. Users of the following systems should not attempt to make a payment during the maintenance period:

  • 2">Electronic Filing System (EFS-Web)
  • Patent Maintenance Fee Storefront
  • Order Entry Management System (OEMS)

For Patent Customers:

During the maintenance period, EFS-Web applicants may file new patent applications and follow-on submissions without fees.

Please do not file ePetitions, eTerminal Disclaimers, Web 85b, or any submissions which require fee payment at time of submission, since these will fail without successful payment.

EFS-Web Applicants:

During the maintenance period, if you need to file a new patent application (except 371 National Stage), please use EFS-Web Contingency: https://www.uspto.gov/patents-application-process/applying-online/efs-web-contingency

For follow-on submissions, please use an alternative filing method.
