PALM Maintenance Update

Statement Update at 3:30 p.m. August 23, 2018

USPTO’s systems continue to be operational. You can file your applications electronically through EFS-Web. Public and Private PAIR are operational but there may still be a remaining delay in access to information that was submitted between August 15 and August 21, 2018.

For those who filed a patent application by paper between August 15 and August 23, 2018, because of the outage, the director will prescribe a procedure that will allow you to seek a refund of the paper filing fee. Once the details of this procedure are ready, we will post that information on our website. As noted in previous updates, the USPTO does not plan to extend deadlines.

Our team of experts continues to monitor all of the systems that have been affected by this outage. Any systems that lose functionality will be listed in bullets here:
