TMNG-IDM Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance affecting Trademark Next Generation ID Manual (TMNG-IDM) beginning at 10 p.m., Saturday, October 27 and ending at 1 a.m., Sunday October 28 ET.

TMNG-IDM will not be available during the maintenance period.

Credit/Debit Card Maintenance

The third-party card processing provider for USPTO payment system, Pay.gov, is performing maintenance beginning at 6 p.m., Saturday, October 27 and ending at 10 p.m., Saturday, October 27 ET. All USPTO storefronts are expected to remain available, however, credit/debit card payment processing through all USPTO storefronts will be unavailable during the maintenance period. Please submit payment using an alternative payment method.

For PTAB Customers:

If your deadline is today for the petition filing and/or other associated documents to a pending America Invents Act (AIA) case and you cannot file electronically via the Patent Trial and Appeal Board End-to-End (PTAB-E2E) System, you may use an alternative filing method. Please visit the PTAB-E2E FAQ page (https://www.uspto.gov/patents-application-process/patent-trial-and-appeal-board/ptab-e2e-frequently-asked-questions) and see A2 for information concerning your America Invents Act (AIA) petition filing and/or document filing using PTAB-E2E alternative filing methods. For Trademark Customers:

If your deadline is today and the document requiring a fee payment cannot be filed electronically, you must use an alternative method of filing. For TTAB Customers:

If your deadline is today and the document cannot be filed electronically, you must use an alternative method of filing. Please visit the TTAB Outage Page for information concerning Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) alternative filing methods. If you have any questions, contact the TTAB Assistance Center during normal business hours by telephone at 571-272-8500 or email TTABInfo@uspto.gov.

TEAS and TEASi Maintenance

The USPTO will be performing maintenance on the Trademark Electronic Application System (TEAS) and the Trademark Electronic Application System International (TEASi) beginning at 6 p.m., Saturday, October 27 and ending at 10 p.m., Saturday, October 27 ET. Both systems will be unavailable during the maintenance period.

If your deadline is today and the document requiring a fee payment cannot be filed electronically, you must use an alternative method of filing. Please visit the Outage Page for information concerning Trademark alternative filing methods. TSDR Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance on the Trademarks Search Data and Retrieval (TSDR) system starting at 12:01 a.m., Saturday, October 27 and ending at 5 a.m., Saturday October 27 ET.

Trademark Electronic Application System (TEAS) and Trademark Electronic Official Gazette (TEOG) may experience lack of mark images during the maintenance period. Mark images should appear normally when the maintenance period ends.

Users should complete all data downloads from TSDR before 12:01 a.m., Saturday October 27 ET.

Multiple Systems Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance affecting several systems beginning at 12:01 a.m., Saturday, October 27 and ending at 5 a.m., Saturday, October 27 ET. The Migration Tool, which interfaces with these systems, will be unavailable during the maintenance period.

Users will not be able to register for new USPTO.gov accounts or authenticate with USPTO.gov credentials during the maintenance period. Users will still be able to use their Public Key Identification (PKI) certificates to logon to Electronic Filing System - Web (EFS-Web) and Private Patent Application Information Retrieval (PAIR).

EFS-Web and Private PAIR Maintenance:

The USPTO will also perform maintenance on EFS-Web and PAIR during the above maintenance period. Users will be unable to file in the DOCX format or save any DOCX submissions within EFS-Web and will be unable to access the DOCX format within Private PAIR during the maintenance period. However, users will still be able to file, save, and access portable document formats (PDFs) in EFS-Web and Private PAIR.
