Maintenance affecting multiple systems

The USPTO will perform maintenance for a twenty-four hour period affecting the following systems beginning at 12:01 a.m., Saturday, April 7 ET and ending at 11:59 p.m., Saturday, April 7 ET.

The following systems will be unavailable during the maintenance period:

  • Private Patent Application Information Retrieval (Private PAIR)
  • Public Patent Application Information Retrieval (Public PAIR) 
  • Trademark Electronic Application System (Domestic) (TEAS)
  • Electronic Filing System-Web (EFSWEB) for Registered eFilers
  • Patents Maintenance Fees Storefront (FPNG)
  • Electronic Manual of Patent Examining Procedure (eMPEP)
  • Electronic System for Trademark Trials and Appeals (ESTTA)
  • Electronic Trademark Manual of Examining Procedure (eTMEP)
  • Manual of Patent Examining Procedure (MPEP)
  • Office of Enrollment and Discipline Information System (OEDCI)
  • One Portal Dossier (OPD)
  • Order Entry Management System (OEMS)
  • Patent Global Dossier Public Access Dossier (GD)
  • Patent Global Dossier Public Access Dossier (P-GD-PAD)
  • Patent Review Process System (PRPS)
  • Patent Trial and Appeal Board End-to-End (PTAB E2E)
  • Trademark Electronic Official Gazette (TM_eOG)
  • Trademark Federal Statutes and Rules (TFSR)
  • Trademark Manual of Examining Procedure (TMEP)
  • Trademark Next Generation (TMNG)
  • Trademark Next Generation - ID Manual (TMNG-IDM)
  • Trademark Trial and Appeal Board Manual of Procedure (TBMP)

 

 The following trademark systems will also be impacted:

  • Trademark Official Gazette (TMOG) will not be available. You can access recent PDF versions of the gazette on the Trademark Official Gazette webpage<. For archived PDF versions of gazettes dating back to 2001, visit the archived editions page.
  • Trademark Status and Document Retrieval (TSDR) will be available with reduced functionality.
  • Trademark Electronic Application System (TEAS) initial application forms will not be available.

 

For Patent Customers

During the maintenance period, applicants may file new applications, except for National Stage applications under 35 U.S.C. 371, via EFS-Web for Unregistered eFilers or EFS-Web Contingency.

If you need to file a National Stage application under 35 U.S.C. 371 or a follow-on submission to an existing application during the maintenance period, please use an alternative filing method.

For PTAB Customers

If your deadline is today for the petition filing and/or other associated documents to a pending AIA case and you cannot file electronically via the Patent Trial and Appeal Board End-to-End System (PTAB-E2E), you may use an alternative filing method. Please visit the PTAB-E2E FAQ page (https://www.uspto.gov/patents-application-process/patent-trial-and-appeal-board/ptab-e2e-frequently-asked-questions) and see A2 for information concerning your AIA petition filing and/or document filing using PTAB-E2E alternative filing methods. If your deadline is today and the document requiring a fee payment cannot be filed electronically, you must use an alternative method of filing.
