USPTO.gov account authentication with PIN via email is intermittently unavailable or delayed
Authentication to EFS-Web, Private PAIR, and the Sponsorship tool using a USPTO.gov account with PIN sent via email is intermittently unavailable or delayed. Please use the mobile authenticator or telephone option to receive the second factor PIN for your USPTO.gov account.
If you have not set up the mobile authenticator or telephone option, you can use EFS-Web for Unregistered eFilers to file new applications and use an alternative filing method to file follow-on submissions.
The USPTO is aware of this issue and is working to resolve it.
