USPTO and Reed Tech Public Dissemination of Data Contract Update

After seven years of service, the Public Dissemination of Data (PDD) contract between the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and Reed Tech will officially end on June 25, 2020. This contract has supported the USPTO in meeting the Executive Order to provide increased transparency of government operations and information by making patent and trademark bulk data directly available to the public via the internet at no charge.

The USPTO will continue to provide data access through a combination of the Bulk Data Storage System and the Patent Application Information Retrieval (PAIR) system. PAIR content may be accessed via Public PAIR or Private PAIR. During the migration of Public PAIR to the Patent Examination Data System, Image File Wrapper (IFW) PDF images will be available via the IFW PAIR Archives. As always, the USPTO also provides data via Global Dossier and the Open Data Developer Hub.

The USPTO thanks Reed Tech for its support in fulfilling the requirements of the PDD contract.
