TEAS and TEASi Outage

The USPTO is currently experiencing technical difficulties with TEAS and TEASi and you may be unable to submit forms. We are working to restore service as quickly as possible.  At this time, we don’t know when services will be fully restored but additional information will be posted as soon as it’s available.

If your deadline is today and you are unable to file your document using TEAS or TEASi, we recommend you fax your documents to us.  Use the fax cover sheet and follow the faxing your documents guidance on the alternative method of filing webpage to meet your deadline. Contact the TEAS team with any questions at our email TEAS@uspto.gov.

Intermittent Disruptions in Service

Many USPTO services are currently experiencing intermittent disruptions in service, including myUSPTO, EFSWeb, Patent Center, Private PAIR, TEAS, and TEASi. Payment processing is having longer response times due to the issues as well. USPTO Technical Teams are actively investigating.

If you need to file a new patent application or follow-on submission to an existing application, please use an alternative filing method.

Contact Centers Experiencing Delays

Due to USPTO network issues, some external customers calling USPTO contact centers are experiencing a busy signal. These issues are also impacting the agency’s ability to answer calls and emails. USPTO technical teams are actively working to fix the issue.
