Patent Quality Chat - Webcast

Join us at the Silicon Valley USPTO office in San Jose to view the Patent Quality Chat webinar simulcast from USPTO headquarters.  This month's chat will provide an eMod Update: Patent Center and Structured Text.

The USPTO's eCommerce Modernization (eMod) team will discuss:

  • new structured text features
  • file structured text via the electronic filing system (EFS-Web)
  • access structured text submissions, structured text office actions, and XML downloads using the Private Patent Application Information Retrieval (PAIR) system.

Additionally, the eMod team will share information about the upcoming Patent Center tool (to replace EFS-Web and PAIR), and provide feedback for further improvements.  Please send your input and questions to patentquality@uspto.gov before and during the event.  After the webinar viewing, a Silicon Valley USPTO resource supervisory patent examiner will lead a discussion.

The Patent Quality Chat webinar series is presented as a part of the USPTO's continuous efforts to improve patent quality.

The content of this event is for someone with intermediate to advanced knowledge of the patent system.

Not able to join us in person? Visit the Patent Quality Chat website for complete webinar participation instructions, upcoming events, and recordings of past events.

The event is free, but please RSVP here by February 12, 2018.

Please note that the Silicon Valley USPTO is a Federal facility. Attendees are required to present a valid form of government-issued identification (driver license or passport) and may be subject to security screening.
