The seminar will provide an overview of the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) and include a detailed description of the procedural aspects of filing an international application under the PCT, international search and preliminary examination, and national phase entry into the United States. This event is free and open to the public.
This seminar is intended for paralegals, foreign filing professionals, and patent attorneys/agents who require a basic understanding of the PCT, including, among other things, what is required to obtain an international filing date, what Authorities are available to perform the international search, what fees are payable for filing an international application, how and when to make amendments at the international stage, options for pursuing protection in the United States, and the requirements associated with entering the national phase in the United States under 35 U.S.C. 371.
Two hours of California MCLE credit will be offered, pending approval. The event is free and open to the public with limited space, please register here by June 14, 2016.
