170 Years of American Latino Invention and Innovation

Hispanic Heritage Month 2018 | September 15 - October 15

This year in collaboration with the International Technological University and SHPE, we are highlighting 170 Years of American Latino invention and innovation in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, featuring the research of Tom Tafolla.

Tom Tafolla’s ground-breaking work brings forth the achievements of Latinos in aeronautics and other STEM fields. His research as a Lemelson Fellow uncovers the amazing case of Belen Quezada who obtained a utility patent for the invention and design of the “Flying Machine” here in San Jose, California.

Come meet him in person and learn more about Latino invention and innovation. Please RSVP by October 11, 2018.
