A senior member of the Bush administration's Department of Commerce team, Under Secretary for Intellectual Property and Director of the United States Patent and Trademark Office Jon Dudas, will be joined by U.S. Congressman Jim Kolbe (R-AZ) to present an Economic Development Administration (EDA) investment check in the amount of $2 million to Chicanos Por La Causa in Phoenix on August 31, 2004.

EDA serves as a venture capital resource to meet the economic development needs of distressed communities throughout the United States. EDA's mission is to lead the federal economic development agenda by promoting innovation and competitiveness, preparing American regions for growth and success in the worldwide economy.
