On Tuesday, February 22 and Wednesday, February 23, 2000, Commissioner of Patents and Trademarks Q. Todd Dickinson, will address invention exhibitors at the Innovacon 2000 Conference and Exhibition in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Representatives from the Office of Independent Inventor Programs, a department of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), will also participate in the conference, providing presentations covering the patent and trademark application process and USPTO initiatives that bring new services to inventors. Demonstrations of Internet-based patent and trademark searches and other USPTO website, www.uspto.gov, resources will be provided.
Innovacon 2000, sponsored by Technology Entrepreneurs of Puerto Rico (TEPR), in conjunction with Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico, provides a forum for idea exchange between inventors, entrepreneurs, business owners, researchers and educators, in addition to providing a platform for leading industry experts to impart their knowledge and provide strategies to develop and grow high technology enterprises. Key conference themes include intellectual property and e-commerce and e-business strategies.
