Clinton Nominates USPTO Deputy Commissioner

On Thursday, February 26, President Clinton nominated Q. Todd Dickinson to be deputy assistant secretary and deputy commissioner of the Patent and Trademark Office at the Department of Commerce.

"I am honored that the president has chosen me to serve in this important position," said Dickinson following his nomination. "The intellectual property community-individuals and corporations, alike-are a unique part of this nation's vitality and economic strength. I look forward to serving their interests as soon as I am confirmed."
