USPTO Hour: Introducing our refreshed homepage and the road to modernization

Join us Wednesday, July 29, from noon to 1 p.m. ET for our next USPTO Hour, hosted by the Office of the Chief Communications Officer in collaboration with the Office of the Chief Information Officer.

In this session, we'll focus on the new USPTO.gov homepage and how this is leading the way for the agency's modernization efforts specific to the public website. Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Director of the United States Patent and Trademark Office John A. Squires will provide opening remarks regarding the agency's continuing efforts to modernize the USPTO across all platforms to improve the customer experience and streamline processes.

Following Director Squires' remarks, the discussion will feature:

  • How the agency developed its refreshed design
  • The agency's focus on human-centered design and putting the customer first
  • A brief tour of our new digital "front door," overviewing how each feature intentionally aligns with customer needs and USPTO's intellectual property workflow
