The US Patent & Trademark Office's Patent Public Advisory Committee ("PPAC") will be holding a series of meetings for the purpose of developing its 2009 Annual Report. These meetings will be open to the public via dial-in number, and the current schedule is as follows:

The anticipated agenda for each of these brief working sessions is expected to include updates from each PPAC member on the status, issues and current content associated with their respective section(s) of the PPAC Annual Report. In addition, PPAC anticipates holding a vote at the end of each meeting to determine if there is a need to enter into a non-public PPAC executive session to discuss any confidential, personnel, or other privileged matters.
Members of the public wishing to listen-in to the public portions of these meetings may dial-in using the telephone number corresponding to that particular meeting. Given the anticipated brevity of these meetings, PPAC will not be able to take public comment/questions during these short working sessions.
Additionally, PPAC will be having its next public quarterly meeting at the USPTO beginning at 8:00am on 15 October 2009, at which PPAC invites public attendance, comments and questions. An agenda and dial-in logistics for this meeting will be published shortly.
