The Collegiate Inventors Competition is the nation's foremost competition encouraging innovation, entrepreneurship, and creativity in students nationwide.

The Collegiate Inventors Competition Expo and Awards Ceremony at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) will feature undergraduate and graduate finalists' cutting edge innovations that will change the world.

The Expo allows finalists to interact directly with USPTO patent examiners, USPTO employees, corporate sponsors, and members of the Washington D.C. intellectual property community.

  • The Expo will take place from 3-5 p.m. ET at the USPTO's Madison Building in Alexandria, Virginia.
  • The Awards Ceremony will follow at 5 p.m. ET where top Finalists win $100,000 worth of cash and prizes.
  • Mo Rocca, CBS Sunday Morning correspondent and Host of The Henry Ford's Innovation Nation, will serve as emcee.
  • History will unfold as the names of the 2016 National Inventors Hall of Fame Inductee Class are released.
