1. A process for supplying amino acids or their chemical derivatives in liquid form to ruminant livestock, the process comprising:
supplying a liquid in a supply line;
measuring a flow of liquid in the supply line;
supplying at least one amino acid in liquid form;
producing a liquid mixture by injecting a known amount of the liquid form of the at least one amino acid into the flow of liquid in said supply line, wherein the known amount injected is regulated by a gradient activated by the measured flow of said liquid in said supply line; and
administering said liquid mixture to ruminant livestock in a controlled manner.
