18. Fixed network equipment (FNE) comprising:
a network interface;
a processing unit, communicatively coupled to the network interface,
adapted to receive, from a caller via the network interface, a call request that indicates a group of units to target for a group call session,
adapted to select a first subset of the target group of units,
adapted to signal, via the network interface, the first subset of the target group of units to join the group call session,
adapted to select a second subset of the target group of units that differs from the first subset, and
adapted to signal, via the network interface subsequent to signaling the first subset, the second subset of the target group of units to join the group call session.
