| 1. An optical waveguide comprising:
a propagating light waveguide;
a coupler comprising a photonic crystal; and
a surface plasmon waveguide,
the propagating light waveguide, the coupler, and the surface plasmon waveguide being disposed in one plane along a waveguiding
direction.
