| 1. An apparatus for controlling operation of a reciprocating compressor, comprising:
a mechanical resonance frequency calculating unit calculating a mechanical resonance frequency based on a current and a stroke
applied to a compressor;
an operating frequency command value determining unit determining an operating frequency command value within a predetermined
range of the calculated mechanical resonance frequency; and
a controller varying an operating frequency according to a comparison value between the determined operating frequency command
value and the present operating frequency, and driving the compressor based on the determined operating frequency command
value.
