| 1. An optical transceiver, comprising:
a circuit board that provides a ground pattern;
an optical subassembly with a disk-shaped stem that mounts a semiconductor optical device thereon, a plurality of lead pins
extruding from the stem;
a flexible printed circuit board that electrically connects the lead pins of the stem to the circuit board; and
a spacer put between the flexible printed circuit board and the stem of the optical subassembly;
wherein the spacer provides a ring portion including a plurality of first tabs that define a position of the stem with respect
to the spacer and a plurality of second tabs that define a position of the flexible printed circuit board with respect to
the spacer so as to form a gap between the stem and the flexible printed circuit board.
