| 31. A method of delivering a therapeutic agent to a patient, the method comprising:
administering to a patient a substantially spherical polymer particle comprising polyvinyl alcohol and having a first region
including pores having a first predominant pore size and containing therapeutic agent, and a second region substantially surrounding
the first region and including pores having a second predominant pore size, the second predominant pore size being from about
50% to about 70% of the first predominant pore size; and
releasing the therapeutic agent in the patient.
