1. An information recording medium being configured to have data that is recorded thereon and reproduced therefrom by an information recording/reproducing apparatus, said information recording medium comprising:
a lead-in area being located on an inner circumference side of the information recording medium; and
a data area being located on an outer circumference side of the lead-in area,
the data area being divided into logical sectors,
each of said logical sectors having a size of 2,048 bytes,
logical sector serial numbers being assigned to the logical sectors, and
a part of said logical sectors corresponding to logical blocks to which logical block numbers are assigned respectively, wherein said data area comprises:
a first area in which a video file is recorded,
the video file containing a recorded area and an unrecorded area,
the recorded area having stored a video object, and
the unrecorded area being provided for new video data that will be recorded,
said video object including video object units (VOBUs),
one of the video object units containing one or more Groups of Picture (GOPs),
a presentation time period of the video object unit being more than or equal to 0.4 seconds,
a presentation time period of a last video object unit in said video object possibly being less than 0.4 seconds,
the video object unit having a video pack and a lead VOBU pack,
the video pack having predetermined size,
the lead VOBU pack being placed at a top of the video object unit and including recording time information on the video object unit,
the recording time information being expressed in year, month, day, hour, minute, and second, and
the lead VOBU pack including profile information on video characters; and
a second area being configured to store a management file including video management information being used for managing said video object in the video file,
wherein the video management information provides a functionality with respect to the video file such that when processed by the information recording/reproducing apparatus, the video object is managed and accessed according to the video management information.
