| 1. A multilayer capacitor comprising:
an element body made of a dielectric material;
a plurality of inner electrodes arranged within the element body such as to oppose each other at least partly; and
a plurality of terminal electrodes arranged on the element body and connected to corresponding inner electrodes in the plurality
of inner electrodes;
wherein the plurality of terminal electrodes include respective electrode parts arranged in any of a plurality of areas on
two side faces opposing each other and being parallel to a first direction in which the plurality of inner electrodes oppose
each other in outer surfaces of the element body, the plurality of areas, when seen in a second direction in which the two
side faces oppose each other, holding therebetween an element part held between the plurality of inner electrodes in a third
direction orthogonal to the first and second directions and being kept from overlapping the element part.
