1. A catalyst comprising from 2 to 90 mass-% of molecular sieve having a pore diameter of from about 4 to 8 angstroms and a molybdenum hydrogenation component present in an amount from about 0.1 to about 5 mass-% molybdenum (elemental basis) which has been subjected to sufficient sulfiding so that the catalyst, under Evaluation Conditions, exhibits an ethylbenzene conversion of at least 75 mass-% and a para-xylene to total xylene mass ratio of at least about 0.233:1.
