1. A joist rim assembly, comprising:
a web;
a first prong and a second prong, each defining a slot with said web;
a plurality of preformed fastener holes formed in the web;
a joist connector bracket having a first portion, and a second portion, said second portion of said joist connector bracket capable of supporting a joist; and
a plurality of fasteners, wherein each one of said plurality of fasteners passes through one of said plurality of preformed fastener holes and through said first portion of said joist connector bracket to secure said joist connector bracket to said web;
wherein said plurality of preformed fastener holes are located relative to said prong such that a fastener passed through any of said plurality of preformed fastener holes will also pass through the joist connector bracket received within said slot;
wherein said first prong overlaps an edge of said first portion of said connector bracket, and said second prong extends through an opening in said first portion of said joist connector bracket and overlaps an edge of said first portion adjacent said opening.
