1. An apparatus, comprising:
a processor; and
a memory coupled with the processor, wherein the memory is configured to store executable instructions that when executed by the processor cause the processor to:
connect with a network through a first access point that uses a first radio access technology, wherein upon a connection with the network through the first access point, the apparatus is configured to perform a full authentication; and
thereafter, switch to a connection with the network through a second access point that uses a second radio access technology, wherein
the first access point and the second access point are configured with a plurality of configuration parameters related to an Integrated Small Cell and Wi-Fi Network (ISWN) in which the first access point and second access point are integrated,
the plurality of configuration parameters includes at least an access type that indicates integration with the ISWN,
upon the connection with the network through the second access point, the apparatus is configured to perform a fast authentication,
based on the indication of the integration with the ISWN, the fast authentication does not perform at least one authentication step performed in the full authentication,
in the full authentication, the apparatus is configured to interact with an authentication center, in the fast authentication, the apparatus does not interact with the authentication center, and
one of the first access point or the second access point is a Wi-Fi access point and another of the first access point or the second access point is a cellular access point,
wherein in both the fast authentication and the full authentication, both the first access point and the second access point interact with a Mobility Management Entity (MME).
