1. A light guide assembly of a vehicle headlamp, comprising:
a first light guide and a second light guide that are configured to overlap at a joint region at each respective end of the first and second light guide;
the first and second light guide each having an opposing respective face within a spacing at the joint region;
the first and second light guide joined to form a predetermined shape, wherein the predetermined shape takes an L-form, where the first light guide and the second light guide overlap along stepped portions at the joint region such that light mixing from light sources derived from each light guide is enhanced at the joint region so as to result in a uniformity of light through exit surfaces of the joint region.
