1. A device for capturing an image of an eye, the device comprising:
a housing having:
a first end including a display; and
a second end including a surface for surrounding first and second eyes;
a camera positioned inside the housing, the camera including an optical lens module abutting a cavity on the second end of the housing, the cavity defined by the surface surrounding first and second eyes, the camera configured to capture the image of the eye;
an optical sensor;
at least one processing unit in communication with the camera; and
a memory storing software instructions that, when executed by the at least one processing unit, cause the device to:
move the optical lens module inside the cavity along a first axis, a second axis, and a third axis to align the optical lens module with the first eye;
adjust a pitch of the optical lens module about a base axis inside the housing;
sense a position of a first base relative to a second base to determine the pitch of the optical lens module based on readings from the optical sensor; and
capture the image of the first eye when the first eye is detected to be in a predetermined position relative to the optical lens module.
