| 1. A hydraulic damping force control unit comprising:
a poppet valve for opening and closing a fluid path;
a pilot pressure chamber defined from the fluid path by a valve element of the poppet valve;
damping force setting means for increasing and decreasing a hydraulic pressure in the pilot pressure chamber; and
a check valve provided in the fluid path to allow pressurized fluid to flow from a downstream side to an upstream side of
the poppet valve only,
wherein the hydraulic damping force control unit further unit comprises a communication path for communication between the
fluid path downstream of the poppet valve and the pilot pressure chamber, and
wherein when hydraulic pressure of the fluid path downstream of the poppet valve is higher than that of the fluid path upstream
of the poppet valve, the valve element is moved in a closed direction by hydraulic pressure through the communication path.
