1. A user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system including a shared spectrum channel, the UE comprising:
a processor configured to:
identify to transmit a set of transmissions including multiple transmissions, wherein the multiple transmissions are associated with transmission beams, respectively; and
sense a channel to access the shared spectrum channel based on a random sensing procedure of a type 1 channel access procedure using a first beam among a plurality of beams; and
a transceiver operably coupled to the processor, the transceiver configured to transmit a first transmission in the set of transmissions over the channel, in case that the channel is sensed as idle,
wherein the processor is further configured to sense the channel to access the shared spectrum channel based on a deterministic sensing procedure of a type 2 channel access procedure using a second beam among the plurality of beams,
wherein the transceiver is further configured to transmit a second transmission in the set of transmissions over the channel, in case that the channel is sensed as idle, and
wherein the first beam and the second beam are different beams.
