1. A method implemented by a network access device, the method comprising:
receiving first data, associated with a device;
determining, based at least in part on power management data associated with the device, that the device is in a power save mode;
storing the first data in a memory buffer;
receiving, from the device, second data indicating a transition of the device to an awake state;
determining, from the second data, a sequence number associated with data transmission from the device to the network access device;
generating, based at least in part on the sequence number, modified power management data indicating the transition; and
sending the first data to the device.
