1. A method comprising:
selecting, by an Access Point (AP), a subchannel for a partial sounding to provide maximum diversity over an entire full bandwidth frequency range; and
sounding, by the AP, the selected subchannel wherein the subchannel for the partial sounding is selected based on a minimum bandwidth to conduct the partial sounding, wherein determining the minimum bandwidth comprises;
sounding, by the AP, an entire bandwidth,
receiving, by the AP, a third CSI from the STA in response to the sounding of the entire bandwidth,
extracting, by the AP, a tuple for a path from the third CSI, and
based on the tuple, determining, by the AP, a time delay.
