1. A base station, comprising:
a transmitter configured to:
transmit, to a user equipment, downlink data including a bandwidth part configuration specifying a plurality of user equipment-configured bandwidth parts that are determined based on predicting movement of the user equipment, wherein each user equipment-configured bandwidth part of the plurality of user equipment-configured bandwidth parts corresponds to a geographic area of a plurality of geographic areas and is associated with a satellite beam of a plurality of satellite beams; and
a receiver configured to:
receive, from the user equipment, uplink data on a first bandwidth part, of the plurality of user equipment-configured bandwidth parts, corresponding to a first geographic area of the plurality of geographic areas in response to the user equipment being positioned in the first geographic area or receive, from the user equipment, the uplink data on a second bandwidth part, of the plurality of user equipment-configured bandwidth parts, corresponding to a second geographic area of the plurality of geographic areas in response to the user equipment being positioned in the first geographic area, the first geographic area and the second geographic area being different geographic areas.
