1. A solid-state electrochemical cell, comprising:
an anode of lithium metal;
a solid electrolyte;
a solid-state cathode comprising:
an electrochemically active cathode material; and
one or more elemental dopant residing in grain boundaries of the electrochemically active cathode material,
and the solid-state electrochemical cell does not have liquid and gel materials.
