1. A light detecting device, comprising:
a first substrate including a photoelectric conversion element configured to generate a charge corresponding to a received light amount by photoelectric conversion;
a second substrate including:
at least a part of a current-voltage converter, the current-voltage converter being configured to convert a current produced by the charge into a voltage corresponding to the current;
a subtractor coupled to the current-voltage converter and configured to generate a difference signal based on the voltage from the current-voltage converter at different timings; and
a quantizer coupled to the subtractor and configured to quantize the difference signal into a digital signal by comparing the difference signal with a threshold voltage; and
a third substrate including an amplification circuit coupled to the photoelectric conversion element and configured to output an amplified signal based on the charge generated by the photoelectric conversion element,
wherein the first substrate, the second substrate, and the third substrate are stacked and electrically connected.
