1. A method for importing cryptographic credentials to an IHS (Information Handling System), the method comprising:
upon initialization of the IHS, retrieving, by the IHS, an inventory certificate uploaded to a persistent memory of the IHS during factory provisioning of the IHS for a customer, wherein the inventory certificate includes an encrypted access code for unlocking the IHS and further includes encrypted credentials provided by the customer;
issuing, by the IHS, a cryptographic challenge to the customer that presents the encrypted access code;
halting, by the IHS, further initialization of the IHS until a response to the challenge is received from the customer that provides the decrypted access code; and
when the decrypted access code is received from the customer, enabling further initialization of the IHS and importing the encrypted credentials from the inventory certificate to the IHS.
