1. A system for generating data structures and utilization metrics for racks to facilitate cable installation, the system comprising:
one or more processors configured to process computer program instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:
retrieving device templates for racks and associated objects within an infrastructure, the device templates facilitating generation of data structures;
receiving, from one or more sensors within the infrastructure, configuration information indicating physical configurations of the racks and the associated objects within the infrastructure;
generating, based on the device templates and the configuration information, rack data structures, object data structures, and links between the rack data structures and the object data structures, and updating the links in response to detecting changes to the physical configurations via the one or more sensors;
generating utilization metrics for the rack data structures and the object data structures based on the updated links, the utilization metrics indicating locations for additional physical configurations; and
causing an installation machine to install cables within the infrastructure according to the utilization metrics.
