1. A method, comprising:
activating a first gas sensor, the first gas sensor including a first semiconductor metal oxide (SMO) film configured to detect a first gas concentration range;
measuring, by the first gas sensor, a concentration of a gas in a surrounding environment;
determining that the concentration of the gas is outside of the first gas concentration range;
deactivating, in response to determining that the concentration of the gas is outside of the first gas concentration range, the first gas sensor; and
activating, in response to determining that the concentration of the gas is outside of the first gas concentration range, a second gas sensor, the second gas sensor including a second SMO film configured to detect a second gas concentration range.
