1. A method for decontaminating water, the method comprising:
providing nanoparticles of a high degree of substitution (DS) guar gum cinnamate (GGCi);
contacting the nanoparticles of a high degree of substitution guar gum cinnamate with water contaminated with one or more organic dyes; and
adsorbing the one or more organic dyes from the water contaminated with one or more organic dyes onto a surface of the nanoparticles of a high degree of substitution guar gum cinnamate, thereby decontaminating the water.
